This Book Hit me With Self-Love❤️

📕 Book Title: How to Heal Your Life
✏️ Author: Louise Hay

📖 What is this book about?
Louise Hay believes that all our problems in life and in our bodies stem from negative self-thoughts and it can be worked on and improved with self-love & positive affirmations. This book is split up into 3 parts. The first part is the introduction about the author’s beliefs—how thoughts turn into things and how we have the power to heal not only our bodies, but our entire lives.

In the second part, she talks about how our problems usually stem from our belief that we aren’t good enough. She talks very in-depth about this and how we can work on that.

In the third part, she goes in-depth into the different facets of our lives are split into chapters—relationship problems, work problems, success, prosperity and the body, and illustrates how our negativity and lack of self-love spreads through that.

❤️ What I love about this book?
I’m so glad I came across Louise Hay. Her language reminds me of a loving grandmother that I never had. The book is loving, calm and kind. Just by reading it, I felt like I was healing a lot of my negativity and mindset.

Every chapter ends with a paragraph of positive affirmations and reading it makes me feel like I’ve teleported into a better version of my life.

The end of the book has an exhaustive list of all the illnesses & bodily issues along side their mental causes and it’s own healing positive affirmation. I love using this as a reference whenever I manifested a illness or someone around me has. The accuracy for me has been 100%. For example, I’ve always had sore throats as a kid. In the appendix, it says that a sore throat represents “Holding in angry words and feeling unable to express the self.” The accompanying affirmation is, “I release all restrictions, and I am free to be me.” This really rings true for me as I grew up I learn to express myself in new ways and now I rarely have sore throats. Even writing on Lemon8 here is me releasing all restrictions and allowing myself to be free.

This book is self-help gold. It holds so much information and action that is so useful even after finishing the book. It is my go-to reference book.

✨ Favourite Quotes from the book:

“Every thought we think and every word we speak creates our future. Life is really very simple. What we give out, we get back.”

“What we think about ourselves becomes the truth for us. I believe that everyone, myself included, is responsible for everything in our lives, the best and the worst.”

“Affirmations are like seeds that you plant and expect to grow.”

“All is well in my world”

“I love and approve of myself”

“You have been criticising yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”
